“BREAKING NEWS”: The team formerly known as the New Jersey Nets will be known as the Brooklyn Stormtroopers when the 2012-‘13 NBA season tips off. The Nets front office feels that, while having the borough name, “Brooklyn”, helps capture the enormous hipster-bandwagon crowd, the rebranding of the actual team name to “Stormtroopers” will also appeal to the huge tech-geek population that populates much of New York City. The team also disclosed that, “Williamsburg Wookies”, was a close second place in the franchise’s rebranding campaign, going on to say they would not rule out that, if marketing goals fall short, the team may look to the runner up as a future name choice.So much want
